"In a moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing. The worst thing you can do is nothing."
– Theodore Roosevelt

In 2007, TAMCO coordinated and hosted our 1st Annual Grand Slam Charity Fishing Tournament and shortly thereafter, received our 501(c)(3) status with the Federal Government and officially declared our philanthropistic subsidiary the TAMCO Foundation.

The following year, while planning for the 2008 tournament, CEO Jack Thompson met Air Force Brigadier General Arthur "Chip" Diehl III (retired) who introduced him to The Coalition to Salute America's Heroes. After listening to General Diehl's validation for supporting our returning heroes who have suffered life altering injuries, The Coalition to Salute America's Heroes was selected as our co-beneficiary for the upcoming fishing tournament.

In 2009, Mr. Thompson – along with the TAMCO Foundation board of trustees – agreed that efforts should solely concentrate on supporting severely wounded heroes and their families. Hence, the TAMCO Foundation's mission was born and they continue to hold events that benefit our patriotic cause.
